Joe Turnham's Biography

Joe Turnham has gained a national reputation both as a political figure and tier-one consultant to a myriad of clients. Joe’s services are in demand nationally as a consultant, speaker, political advisor and commentator.

As an award-winning Democratic Party Leader, Joe was recently elected in January of 2007 to an unprecedented third term as Chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party. As a veteran Member of the Democratic National Committee, Joe has earned the respect and confidence of national political leaders, presidential candidates and Members of Congress.

Joe narrowly lost his own race for the U.S. House in 2002 by 3,800 votes. It took two visits by President George W. Bush and three visits by Vice-President Cheney to Alabama in 2002 to defeat a grassroots champion of Alabama, Joe Turnham. Urged by many to run again for higher office in the future, Joe has earned the respect of Democrat, Republican and Independent alike who admire Joe’s keen mind, solid principles and novel approach to solving complex problems.

Known as a ‘faith and values’ Democrat, Joe’s novel brand of politics has spread across America. Joe’s political promise has landed him in feature articles such as a front page spread in the Wall Street Journal to quotes in cover stories for The World Magazine. Joe has been a frequent national guest contributor on Fox News Live during the 2006 campaign cycle as well as political color analyst for Alabama’s top NBC affiliate, WSFA-12.

Joe’s consulting work is broad and varied but marked with notable successes for both large corporations and small non-profit organizations.
